Crossroads Community Hub
Tackling the root causes of food poverty
Our Origins
Creating Community
From simple beginnings, the Crossroads Community Hub has grown into a full food poverty project that looks to create community.
Since it's beginnings as a community response to food shortages during the COVID pandemic, the project has grown into it's own organisation. This development has taken place under the guidance and help of HBC Chester. HBC Chester is a Baptist church based near the hub building and has supplied the resources for the project to grow to its current size and scope.

Compassionate Beginnings
The project began as a response to the need for food during the COVID pandemic and has grown since then
Expansion
Our Story
We started by providing food out a disused building in Dicksons Drive, Newton. We still use that building are looking to put it back into full use as a valuable community resource. We are now looking to the future where we can provide more to address the root causes of food poverty.
Hub Building
We are looking to create a long-term future for the Crossroads Hub by developing the building we use. We want to use the space to create community for people.
Involving
We believe that our users should help shape our project and what we do. We listen to our staff, volunteers, users and local people to help determine what activities we deliver.
Volunteers
Volunteers are key to us being able to deliver impact to our users. Volunteers help with things like directorships, running and serving in our cafe and maintaining our building.
