Emergency Food

Emergency Food

I need some emergency food

The first step is to get a referral code from an advisor. You should phone 0808 208 2138 to speak to someone and see if you qualify for a code. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm except for public holidays.

Collecting your food

If you have been given a referral code, you can come to the Hub building on Dickson's Drive in Newton to pick up your emergency parcel. We are open for four sessions in the week - details are in the footer at the bottom of the page.

What food will I get?

We operate a system where people fulfilling a voucher for a food parcel can come to the building to choose what food what they want. People go around with a trolley and pick which foods they would like from what we have in stock.

How many parcels can I get?

You need a new voucher for each time you need a food parcel. Once you've collected food using a code, you must phone up again to get more food. Food is only given where it is needed.

If you, or someone you know, needs emergency food, then follow the steps on this page to get a referral code and then your food. Remember, if you need emergency food, phone 0808 208 2138 first.
